The unique architectural styles which developed from the early "Cape Cod " style, including saltboxes, colonials and on through the victorian and federal designs, all maintained a distinct style that endures today as "Cape Cod style". The concept of "historic" extends into the use of materials- the famous grey shingles, weathered wood roofs, painted clapboard and true divided light windows. Cape Cod real estate offers a vast array of historic or antique homes in every town on the Cape.
